yourfandomsucks: Community Masterpost (AKA THE GREATEST SHOW YOU WILL EVER WATCH) Community is without a doubt, the most innovative, creative, bizarre show on TV. It’s like trawling through TVtropes.com while punch drunk. It is also the most underrated show, being labeled as “the weird show” in NBC’s lineup, it is often ignored for it’s lack of willingness to maintain a typical sitcom structure.  Community is a sitcom created by Dan Harmon about the misadventures of a Spanish study group at a bottom of the barrel community college in Colorado.  The story follows Jeff Winger, an arrogant and selfish ex lawyer forced to get his bachelor’s degree after his was outed for being fake. He is immediately attracted to his classmate Britta Perry, and creates a study group in order to get close to her. Unfortunately for Jeff, other people actually end up showing up for the group; including the TV obsessed nerd Abed, the lovable ex jock Troy, the neurotic Annie, the overly mothering Shirley, and the completely clueless Pierce. Each member is a misfit in their own right, and the group slowly starts to form into a strange and co dependent family.  This series originally presents itself as another school based comedy, but quickly shows it’s true colors a few episodes in as a parody of the modern sitcom.
